Jazeera Airways or Al Jazeera Airways is a privately owned low-cost airline based in Kuwait. It was founded in 2004 and commenced operations in 2005. The airline’s main base is at Kuwait International Airport.

Since its launch, the airline has expanded to become Kuwait’s second national airline. It currently flies to over 50 destinations in Nepal, Pakistan, the Middle East, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Europe. It is one of the largest operators at the Kuwait airport and in 2018, the airline opened its dedicated terminal at Kuwait International Airport. Jazeera Airways fleet consists of 19 modern aircraft which are powered by CFM56-5B engines. The fleet consists of 8 Airbus A320-200s and 11 Airbus A320neos. All the aircraft are narrow-body and fuel-efficient. Modern aircraft ensure safety and comfort during flights. 

The airline carries more than 1.2 million passengers per year. All the aircraft are split into two cabins - Jazeera (Economy) and Jazeera Business. The total number of seats in the aircraft is 165 out of which 147 are for Economy class and 6 seats are removed to make room for 12 Plus Business class seats. All the aircraft are fitted with leather seats. The airline offers comfortable air travel at affordable costs and helps to make air travel accessible to all.

Al Jazeera Airways offers two classes of travel on its flights. The services provided for the different classes of travel are as follows:

Economy Class

This class offers comfortable seats covered with fine leather and enough space.

• Passengers can pre-book meals from J Cafe. Choose from a selection of salads, wraps, sandwiches and hot meals.
• The in-flight entertainment app offers movies, TV shows, cartoons for children and more.
• Passengers can access the airport lounges for a fee.

Business Class

This class offers comfortable and wide leather seats with enough space.

• Complimentary meals and beverages are offered to the passengers.

• Special check-in through exclusive counters and priority to leave the aircraft.

Jazeera Airways Baggage Allowance

Economy Class Baggage Allowance:

The baggage allowance varies as per the fare type.

• For Economy class Light fare type passengers can purchase extra baggage during check-in.
• For Economy Value the checked-in baggage allowance is 20 kg (1 piece).
• For Economy Extra the checked-in baggage allowance is 30 kg (2 pieces).

All Economy fare types can carry a handbag weighing up to 7 kg.

Business Class Baggage Allowance:

For Business Class the checked-in baggage allowance is 60 kg (3 pieces) and a handbag weighing up to 15 kg.

Passengers can check in online through the airline’s website 24 hours before the Jazeera flight departure. Passengers have to go to the check-in page and enter the required details. Seat selection, pre-booking a meal and booking the airline’s lounge can be done easily. The boarding pass can be printed, emailed or sent to a mobile device using the Jazeera app.

Passengers can check in online through the airline’s website 24 hours before the scheduled flight departure. The airline provides an in-flight entertainment app - Jazeera Screens which offers movies, TV shows, children’s shows and more. The app has to be downloaded on the passenger’s device. Economy Class passengers can pre-book meals from the J Cafe while Business Class passengers are offered complimentary meals and beverages. The airline offers the in-flight magazine J9 to all passengers which covers the latest news and features.

The airline assists passengers with special needs such as expectant mothers, passengers with visual and hearing impairments, passengers travelling with infants and more. Passengers with mobility problems are provided with wheelchair assistance at all destinations and during check-in at the airport. About Jazeera Airways Refund & Cancellation

The Jazeera Airways tickets can be cancelled online or through the sales office. Depending on the fare type a cancellation fee is charged and the refunded money is held in credit for a year.
